Again proving why Entertainment Weekly is my favorite publication, they have released amazing photos of season 2’s new characters, including Jessica Lange as Sister Jude, a sadistic nun. The first season earned an amazing 17 nominations, with a bit of controversy surrounding them. Ryan Muphy and Brad Falchuk, co-creators, decided to put the show up for mini-series nominations, instead of television series, which they argued they could do because it was a close-ended story. I could not care less but apparently some of the other nominees in the mini-series category were not pleased.
Season 2 will take place at Briarcliff, a Massachusetts mental institution and will be titled Asylum, largely set in 1964. Follow this link to EW’s photo series, which takes a look at the new season’s characters. You will recognize many familiar season 1 faces mixed in with some new ones, including a certain Maroon 5 frontman premiering his acting career. I am also a Chloe Sevigny fan and was pleased to see her face pop up as well.
