Going to Comic-Con in San Diego is something that I really want to do. I am a total tv-aholic and movie buff and to be able to sit in a True Blood panel would be a dream come true. Alas, this was the last year for Dexter, but Blood, Game of Thrones, The Hunger Game series, and who-can-imagine-what-new-ones will continue to have fans traveling from around the world with the hopes to meet-and-greet their favorite stars and learn more info about their favorite movies and shows. Also, to get a chance to interact with other fans! I’ll have to eventually bite the bullet, mark my calendar, and make it happen. In the meantime, let’s check out our favorite leading ladies’ looks while on their way to rocking fans worlds.
Anna Paquin: She is my Best Dressed for the event. She wore a printed McQ Alexander McQueen (her go-to designer) dress and Bionda Castana booties at the X-Men: Days of Future Past panel. Then she chose a form-fitting red dress for the True Blood panel (I could not find anywhere who made it), and black David Koma at True Blood‘s autograph signing. Her fashion choices are always glam and striking.
Jennifer Lawrence: This girl always knocks it out of the park. She is my other Best Dressed at Comic-Con. She wowed in an Alexander McQueen white bandage dress and a gorgeous pair of Nicholas Kirkwood light-blue lace pumps at the X-Men: Days of Future Past panel. At the Hunger Games panel, she opted for a Proenza Schouler Resort 2014 ensemble with a fun cropped top. This look went great with the Comic Con black-and-white logo.
Lily Collins: I love this girl. She is so gorgeous and chic. Here she is in Paper London at The Mortal Instruments: City of Bones press line. This youthful but glam two-piece set also looked like it was made for the Comic Con logo. Collins stars in the Mortal Instruments young adult fantasy novels. Apparently the 6 book series is so expansive that I could not even find a short summary of what they are about, but I know there are magical powers and mystical creatures. You know, the usual.
Zoe Kravitz: Looking chic in an OSMAN jumpsuit and white Christian Louboutin shoes at the Summit Entertainment Party. She was at Con to promote Divergent, the new sci-fi movie series based on the hit novel trilogy by Veronica Roth. The Divergent series is about a futuristic dystopian society that is divided into five factions, each one meant to uphold a particular virtue of humanity.
Alyson Hannigan: I’m not sure what she’s wearing, all I care about are those red Valentino Rockstud pumps. Valentino’s Rockstud shoes are my ultimate favorite and I had never seen them before in this bold “rouge.” LOVE!
Emily Vancamp: She looked rocker chick amazing in an A.L.C top, J. Brand leather leggings, and black-and-white Christian Louboutin ‘Paulina’ heels (same shoes as Ms. Kravitz!) at the Captain America: The Winter Soldier event. She has a role in the movie.
Ginnifer Goodwin: I’m not sure why she is hiding herself inside these schlumpy dresses. The Once Upon a Time star chose a loose-fitting white Derek Lam dress at the show’s panel, then a dark green sleeveless Vionnet dress at the annual Entertainment Weekly Comic-Con Celebration party. Neither is horrible but neither is good either.
Jennifer Morrison: I’m not a fan of either of these choices for Morrison, who was there also to promote Once Upon a Time.
Scarlett Johansson: This would have maybe been okay at a bridal shower or garden party (and just maybe), but not at Comic-Con. The pattern and colors are too cutesy. Scarlet was attending Captain America: The Winter Soldier event.
Zoe Saldana: I love a good romper/jumpsuit, but this Balmain piece is only so-so for me. I think it just seems like the wrong place to wear it.
Til next year (maybe I’ll finally buy a plane ticket and be there reporting live)!
